This is the twisted route I took. I started out at 8:00 AM from Pt 001 at gated road entering Green Woodlands from North Dorchester Road. I intended to try to find jeep trail from North Dorchester. I didn't see anything looking like this jeep trail. I did come across the gate to Green Woodlands so I took that. Just enough room to park a couple of cars without be a nuisance. I was able to follow woodland road ending in log yard at approx. 1700'. I followed a skidder trail until I figured out I needed to head west in order to catch the clark trail. I came upon a skidder trail that looked like it might be the trail, but my topo map told me the trail was on west side of Clough Brook so I kept going and crossed the brook. No trail was found so I continued to whack up the brook thinking I would catch it later. I did hit it but not until 2700' elevation which told me the trail I crossed was the trail.
I ended up descending via the trail which was much easier in fact it had remarkably good footing with very minimal blowdowns to hinder my passage. So here was a case of actual trail being on east side of Clough Brook counter what the map showed. I came across numerous skidder trails on west side so travel was not bad, but none in near the great shape of the actual trail.
